Dear Friend, I am writing to ask you to join me in opposing the Trial Lawyers Tax legislation that are being pushed by trial lawyers. If the Trial Lawyers Tax is not rejected by the Legislature, the result will be more lawsuits, more fraud, higher costs to consumers and our state will become a hotbed for frivolous litigation. This legislation guarantees additional attorneys fees on every case against an insurance company. This new hidden tax will increase costs for consumers on virtually ALL lines of insurance, including homeowners, auto, general liability, etc. This legislation is being pushed by personal injury lawyers who want to benefit themselves, not consumers.
